Multi Level Marketing Affiliate Program - New Name - New Approach?
Multi Level Marketing Affiliate Program - Why The Name Change? New Internet MLM Companies Are Feeling The Need To Add The Word Affiliate To It's Name - Is It Really Necessary?Well let's take a quick look at the Affiliate Marketing Industry. Maybe we will be able to see why New Internet MLM Companies are so attracted to this word to where they are now calling themselves a Multi Level Marketing Affiliate Program. Affiliate marketing is a term basically used when referring to some type of commission base referral program. This is where a company that has a product decides to market their products through associates, sometimes called affiliates, representatives, marketers, or even distributors.
In return for the associates efforts, he or she is rewarded with a certain percentage of the total sale of the product. This could be anywhere from 10% to 75% depending on the agreement that the affiliate may have with the company. This is really nothing new to the direct selling industry. But the word affiliate has become very popular across the Internet within the past couple of years. So popular that the MLM Industry which has been using affiliate marketing as part of they're programs since the beginning have taken notice. Multi Level Marketing Affiliate Program? Another part to affiliate marketing is where the associate could earn a set fee for every person they would send to the merchant website regardless if the person buys anything or not. But this depends on if all the criteria is met, with having all the require information that the merchant has outline for a lead referral to be qualified for payment to the affiliate. Now these fees could range from $1 dollar up to $10 - $15 dollars a lead. Not bad for just gathering one's information for a specific industry. Now this is one feature the New Internet MLM doesn't have. Now most experts give credit for the creation of affiliate marketing to an online company that started it the mid-1990's. The name of this company is called Amazon, and its web-site and reputation is known throughout the world. Amazon had came up with a business ideal that had web-site owners placing links back to them, by using banners, text ads, product images etc. Whenever a person would click on any of these links, they would be taken to the Amazon web-site. These clicks would be tracked back to the referrer web-site, so if that person who clicked on the link purchase something the affiliate would get credit for the sale (link exchange program - sort of). Now like I mention earlier, affiliate marketing is becoming very popular these days in the 21st Century. If you have any knowledge on how to market on the Internet, and have the right tools to do your follow ups with - you could earn a pretty good living with affiliate marketing. Now the New Internet MLM Industry is trying to cash in on the success of this term, by adding it to their name and calling their opportunity a 'Multi Level Marketing Affiliate Program'? So does this mean that A Multi Level Marketing Affiliate Program is different from a traditional (MLM) Network Marketing Program? The answer to that question would be...YES - but only in one major way. The New Internet MLM Companies that are popping up across the Internet are a lot more open to this new trend that is happening within the MLM Industry as a whole. This revolutionary movement that is shaking up the MLM Industry involves a more focused Internet Marketing approach. Now I'm not going to say that these new MLM Affiliate Programs provide only web-based services for their products. I have personally seen some Online MLM Companies offer consumable goods as well. Now these New Internet MLM Companies that are calling themselves a 'Multi Level Marketing Affiliate Program'- are more geared and set-up towards benefiting from this new online transitioning movement that is forming within the MLM Industry. These Internet MLM Companies actually encourage their affiliates to learn and use proven Internet Marketing strategies to promote their home businesses with. Instead of the out-dated traditional one's that have plaque and slowed down the MLM Industry over the past couple of years. This is huge, because as you can see, Multi Level Marketing is in a major transition, and for those Networking Companies that can't switch fast enough - will be left behind.
But I don't agree with the New Internet MLM Companies adding 'affiliate' to they're names...I don't think it's necessary. Multi Level Marketing hands down is still the best way for an individual to change their financial situation from bad to awesome within the first year of joining, being that they get the right training. No other Industry has made as many millionaires like the Multi Level Marketing Industry has within the 20th century...and will continue to do in the 21st. Industries should be bowing down to you, not the other way around. The Multi Level Marketing Industry has too much to offer for this to happen. But I know marketing, and adding this word 'affiliate' to your name will get attention - but what kind? You don't want people thinking that you are trying to hide what you are... A MLM Business Opportunity. Don't be ashamed of what you really are, be proud. You have done so much to help individuals to improve their financial situation, and will continue to do so. But to call it a Multi Level Marketing Affiliate Program? I guess. But is it necessary - No Not Really - MLM, Multi Level Marketing, Network Marketing will do just fine.
