I don't know why uninformed people keep trying to put this unfair tag on this Great & Thriving Industry is beyond me. How would you like it if people lied on you for no apparent reason?

Network Marketing, Multi Level Marketing, MLM or whatever they calling it nowadays, has carried the stigma of the “pyramid schemes” tag since its beginning.

What is a Pyramid Scheme?

Well basically a pyramid scheme is a so called business model type that involves the participants being paid for enrolling other people into a business scheme, that DOESN'T provide any type of REAL product or service.

Excuse me I have to type that again:

You know like some type of 'Money Gifting Club' - but I leave that alone for right now.

It is unfair to try to tag the Network Marketing Industry with this 'Pyramid scheme' title. Yeah I know that you have to be careful nowadays, because there are some scams out there that can be very deceptive.

But this is why there are so many ways you can go and check a company out, in the 21st century. I won't go into them now on this page, because I have so much to get off my chest.

With Pyramid schemes being completely illegal today, there is no way the Network Marketing Industry would be still thriving in todays times.

You just have to use common sense and learn the differences between the two, it’s easy to see which company is legitimate and which is illegal.

A pyramid scheme is focused solely on recruiting with no real product or service to offer. There are usually a hefty price tag to join the company (scheme).

So once you are in their network, you are encouraged to recruit others as opposed to doing any direct selling of products. In a nutshell, you will only recover your investment by finding others who will also join and invest.

A Network Marketing Internet Business also has a recruiting (sponsoring) program.

But the company also has a real product or service that's being sold as well through a direct selling program. Which is one of the many streams of income that's available through the MLM program.

Also when a person joins a MLM company also known as a Network Marketing Internet Business, they have a product or service pack that is normally included in the price of the sign-up.

So real products or services are being brought as soon as the person joins.

Also the MLM Affiliate would be required to continue to purchase the company products or service on a monthly basis in order to qualify for the many income streams the Network Marketing company is offering. Normally this type of program would be called being on 'auto-ship'.

The MLM Affiliate can participate in the direct selling program which is part of the many income streams, and make a commission from the selling of products or services directly to the individual as well.

The reason MLM Companies can do these types of compensation plans, is because they don't pay millions for commercial advertising - they use that money to reward the MLM Affiliate for their efforts.

I can go on and on about how you can make money with Multi Level Marketing but I won't, at least not on this page anyway.

Just know that the MLM Industry offers you so much in return for your participation in it.

Now Pyramid Schemes also offer little to no marketing help and training. You are never informed of the actual products because there are none.

The company focuses little attention on selling and distributing - because there's nothing to distribute or sell.

Now Before you start investing time or money into an Network Marketing Internet Business, take a good look at what they have to offer.

If your potential MLM company demands you purchase hundreds or even thousands of dollars in products and services, starting out.

Then you need to run for them hills and find another company - QUICK.

Your Online MLM company should also provide adequate training to all representatives. This can be done through your personal interaction with your up-line, weekly conference calls, training newsletter, online videos, or the company website that you were provided with when you joined.

Once your potential company has passed these requirements you are now ready to join and begin building your Network Marketing Internet Business.
